Problems with integration of CPG 1.4.10 with IPB 2.2.1
« on: December 29, 2006, 02:20:54 pm »

Hi guys,
I've problem with connection of these two: board(ipb 2.2.1) and gallery(1.4.9 at begining)
First of all I had disconnected old version of forum (smf1.1.1) then install IPB (alone working fine)
and then downloaded Modpack v1 for CPG 1.4.10 bridge support latest version, made update.php, works ok and after that I turn briding on to the IPB 2.x
Now I can login from CPG - I'm transferred to IPB, and after that when I change the address to gallery I get "fatal error"

what is going on?

Coppermine install:

if you read carefully you'd see, that only phpbb, smf and punbb bridges have been modified to work with the modpack so far

compare eg. the phpbb modpack bridgefile with the original one to find out what modifs have to be done

ok, sorry but I thought that Your mod make functionality bigger and don't make some standard features unavailable. Now I know what bridges are included and which one not - I don't care about it. At this moment everything is OK, thanks for Your time to explain about this bridge

Are there any chances that You will publish bridge for IPB?

Initially I coded the modpack for the standalone CPG. Later on (1.4) I've spent a bunch of hours to make it possible to use the in a bridged environment. However I didn't want to modify the bridge files cause I do not use all that forums, I do not even know most of them and I do not have time to make sure the bridge files work for all new versions of the soft.
And, I really don't intend to spend money and buy IPB just to add two lines of code to the IPB bridge file. That's the downside of commercial software.

As said, have a look at an original and a modified bridge file (eg. SMF) and do so similar within your bridge file
