sorry to say, but in my opinion the comments feature is weak without having the ability of leaving email adress and homepage url as non-registered user! at least html code in comments should be enabled.
are there any plans for improvements?

enabling html is a huge security risc and will for this reason not be enabled in the "mainstream code". If someone comes up with a hack to enable html in comments, there's no reason this hack should not be published in the mods section with all the other mods.
Leaving email and url in a comment is exactly the same as leaving the email address during registration, so I see little point in this. People have become weary of leaving their email address in guestbooks and similar (because of all the spam), so again: no must-have feature for me, but if you want to post a hack, go ahead...

thank you for your speedy reply, gaugau. well, i agree with you, as far as security and spam matters with email and html code is concerned.
but leaving the homepage url is what guests usually do when leaving comments to photologs and albums and there is a good reason why they like to do it. as a consequence countless comments systems provide this feature, and i can't see any arguments against it.
too bad i'm not experienced in php coding, but - could you be so kind to tell me whether there is an (easy) way to modify the code to provide a clickable homepage url link even for non-registered users?
maybe i'm not the only one who would love this feature...
thank you very much!

this would require an additional database field, and some modifications to all files dealing with comments, so this is not that easily done (in fact, it's not difficult, but time-consuming).
Maybe someone else who needs this agrees to make a mod...
