vbulletin bridge update vb-session table
« on: February 20, 2004, 01:40:59 am »

Hello!

May it be possible to have the vbulletin bridge update the vbulletin session table? So the online.php from vbulletin could report the approriate position of users from the location field.

none of the devs if actually running vb, so this hack would have to come from the vb-community. If you think your skills aren't enough to code it, maybe you could as well look for help on the vb support boards.

I'm no expert but Photopost does it by the way or the bridge file so I would think it would be easier to include it in thatfile.

Photopost is not free software, so we can't (and won't) rip off their code. This has to be coded from scratch if you need it for coppermine.

Who did the coding for the vb-bridge? Maybe we can ask him? For the upcoming vbulletin version 3 the bridge must most likely be adopted, too.

If I had more time, I could do some coding for this stuff.  But not at the moment. Is there any kind of documentation of the bridge functions and interfaces?

Nanobot has done the bridge file - see http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=2370
No, there's no documentation for the bridge file. Someone doing a bridge file has to understand the concept of the file, so he'll have to look into it anyway.
