Album delete button
« on: November 28, 2006, 05:16:38 pm »

I often leave myself logged in as admin but after the cat sat on my keyboard and managed to delete an album I've stopped doing this.

As coppermine is bridged with phpbb this is why I'm always logged on.

Is there anyway to easilly disable the album admin buttons so this does not happen again? It would be nice to have an option in config to display and hide them while in admin mode, just to protect me from drunken moments and cats.

That's what the "user mod" button is for: it turns the admin controls off.
I know how stubborn cats can be, so I understand that your cat probably won't behave in the future even if you tell her so. That's why I recommend locking your workstation when you're away. This will protect your PC against unwanted edits both by cats as well as family and earthquakes (falling debris!). You can even set the locking of the workstation to become active if your screensaver starts.
Locking the workstation is far more effective, as the "user mode" toggle will only protect Coppermine against accidental "hacks" by your cat, while the workstation lock will help against all messing with the keyboard (imagine you don't have your browser with Coppermine in the focus, but a session of Windows Explorer).
