Hello.  I've been very happy with my coppermine gallery for a few years. 

Now an interesting opportunity for our site has come up and we need to allow our users to select which category they can post their personal albums in.  (note I'm talking about albums, not images)...

Untill now, users have only been able to create their own albums in the user gallery category.  We'd like to expand past that and give the users a similar permission that the admin has, to select in which category their album exists. 

I started a discussion about this here.  But I now realize that this is really a mod or plug in that I'm looking for..

Can anyone help us with this?

No plugin can do this, it would require a major change to the Coppermine codebase.
