Right Click
« on: November 15, 2006, 11:36:40 pm »

Hi Guy's

I'm hoping you can help me, I have searched the boards but cant find this posted anywhere previous. Please forgive me if I have missed it.

Basically is there anyway I can protect the photo's in the gallery? as in not allowing anyone to right click and save picture as? I have been right through the config list but cant seem to find an option. If not does anyone know of any other ways of protecting the pictures?

Thanks In advance

Disabling right-click is hugely annoying since there are plenty of other features available in the right-click menu. Look in the mods board for watermark.

As TranzNDance already pointed out it's annoying to disable the right mouse button and it only will trick newbies. Have a look at the thread below. It achieves a similar result without that annoyance.

Thanks Stramm! this looks to be the ideal solution  ;D

Will give it a go when I get home. Should I take a backup of the gallery before inserting those files? I'm only a moderator for this site and would not be able to resource these photo's should I mess up.

Thanks

The photos don't get changed at all... the only file you modify is your theme.php. It's always a good idea to backup files you intend to modify (at least if it's already changed to suit your needs, otherwise it's in the coppermine zip)

Hi

I followed the process of adding those files but I seem to have a problem. The thumbnails seem to be fine but when you click on an image it shows as a white square.

I notice a similar problem on the thread which suggests that the photos should be set to 600 in the config. Mine were already set to 600 so I tried a smaller size but still had no luck.

I know its probably 100% something that I am doing wrong! Do you have any ideas as to what?

Thanks again in advance,

Darren
