new comments since last visit

Is it possible to add ' new comments sice last visit' on the gallery ? I would like my members to be able to use this to trace any conversation that has started over a photo submitted to the photogroup.
Ive seen it being done on another site where it shows photos since last visit and comments since last visit. this would be real neat to include

i'd like to see a similar feature... I'm attempting to mod a copy of stramms subscription_manage.php, but i'm not really sure where to go with it. anyone implemented/care to implement something like this, or does anyone have any pointers?

any help would be really appreciated
