Need Embedded Code

I am looking for a code to embed my Coppermine sub directory to my main website.  A friend of mine said this was much easier than doing a 301 redirect.  Right now, when you go to my main website, it says the site is under construction.  But, if you go to www.mydomain.com/coppermine viola! there's all my wonderful pictures.  I don't want this!  I want people to just type in www.mydomain.com

I'm somewhat of a novice so please be as simple as you can.

Just move the gallery up a level. Place it directly inside public_html or www or htdocs, whatever you have. Then fix the url in config.
