Backing up albums
« on: February 12, 2004, 07:39:03 pm »

I have a photo gallery on my web site http://moya.us/ and some people have posted pictures there. I develop for my site on my local desktop computer. I would like to download all my albums to my local computer for backup and to have access to the pictures locally.

How can I do this?

Edit:
I can download the albums folder but the database doesn't get updated (I assume) so none of the pictures show.

Another Edit:
Solution:

I found that I had to update my local mysql tables from the website tables. I did that by dumping the structure and data of the website mysql tables and then installing them on my local mysql tables.

So, its not enough to just download the albums. The mysql tables also have to be downloaded.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

If you keep exactly the same directory structure on your hd as there is on your server it should work. The references in the database are only relative.
