Some thumbnails are no-shows
« on: October 14, 2006, 01:05:18 am »

I have reinstalled the latest CPG and uploaded files / photos in the cleanest - best structured ways possible.
But for some reason I continue to have some of my images (from different albums and different categories) not show thumbnails on the index and within their album.
I have uninstalled (through CPG) a few of the problem photos and then reuploaded and added - same problem.

Any idea what the problem could be or how to fix.  I'd even be willing to go into MySQL and manually fix linking or whatever - rather than continue uninstalling and reinstalling.

Any ideas would really help.

Thumbnails in albums in subcategories won't show... the albums have to be in the categories.

oops sorry - bad description on my part.

the problem is that when I view a CPG page (index, within album, etc) - I see most of the thumbnails as I should... but one or two don't show.

Any idea why?

I used batch add and it didn't choke during the upload, although I uploaded a couple hundred at a time.

Post a deep link to the album in question. Not an install issue, moving accordingly.

All the thumbnails show up for me on all three pages. Are you using some "security" application that blocks out certain forms of ads? It might be that some thumbnails are a certain size that makes them considered ads, so they get blocked.

TranzNDance - you are always a big help.

Ok boys and girls, heres what I've discovered so far...

Norton Internet Security 2005 with the latest LiveUpdates will block some of your picture thumbs from showing if you have Ad Blocking turned on.

Turning Ad Blocking off shows all thumbs - and Coppermine shines like it should.

To Do:
Determine why/how Ad Blocking only blocks some of the pics.

Actually, I recommend to put this on your todo-list instead:
Get rid of the pseudo-security app "Norton Internet Security" and buy a real virus scanner instead that does only what it has been designed to do: protect your PC from viruses and malware.

This has been discussed often already, search the board for "Norton Internet Security" to get an idea why we recommend not using it.
