Problem in std install w/Igames theme
« on: October 14, 2006, 03:34:12 am »

If you choose 'Igames' as the default theme on the config screen it doesn't stick... ie, if you save and exit config and then go back some other theme is displayed as the default.  Maybe a u/l case issue -- Igames vs igames... then again, maybe not?  Fails on both versions 1.4.8 ad 1.4.9.

If this doesn't help, post a link to your coppermine-driven gallery.

Thanks for the replies.  It's hard to understand why the admin/config/themes screen would need a cookie manually cleared to be able to accept a new configuration value... isn't that the whole purpose of the config screen... to change whatever needs changed, including the cookie if appropriate?  I gather you don't see the same results in your installation?  Unfortunately, since starting this thread, I have concluded Coppermine can't be configured as I need (thread on that in permissions forum) so I've uninstalled it and am testing other packages.  If I reload it in the future I will retest this and if it still fails I'll try the cookie thing and report back.

Well, if you don't like the way cookies work on the www, you should complain at the people who originally set up cookie specifications (the creators of the corresponding RFC).
Anyway, thanks for resolving this thread. However, I just wanted to make clear to others that cookies (and subsequently coppermine's config page) do work as expected, you mustn't draw false conclusions from this thread, it's a PEBKAC issue.
