strange behaviour email
« on: October 08, 2006, 05:54:33 am »

Hi all

This is very strange:
I am self hosting with w2k, coppermine 149, mysql5
Yesterday the mail function worked fined but now its only handles the e-card request.

I have tried to send e-card to my dummy hotmail address and its arraive
I created a free email account @home.se and it deliver the e-card to this address also
BUT when im sending e-card to my self my private email (that is in use by coppermine settings for email) i do not recevice any e-cards.

I do not recevie the new user registration either, but this has worked last night. Sending normal email and receving from my private account works fine.
I have erased the email settings in coppermine and restarted the IIS. Reboot of sql service. Reboot of server
Between these steps i have ofcourse configured the email settings again.

The main thing is that im not receving the registration emails and my coppermine is build on only private users so.....
NOTE: tried the @home.se smtp server and account details but it did not do the work. No emails sent to that address regarding registration

Is it possible that i have by misstake fucked up the registration process in coppermine. I dont think i have changed something in that file.
Any ide´s

Im going tro post one more isuue that might be related (respect for one question at the time) its kind of related to the create new user so plz check that also if you have time.

SOLVED IT:

After activation the logs in php and coppermine and then had this for night reading i saw that the registration emails is only send to the members coded as 1 in sql (Admin) I think we all knew that ...

BUT if you have several administators or as for me 2 and one of them did not have any email configured then you are expericence this issue.

So make sure all admins have an email registered. Then you will be excused from troubleshooting a whole night.
I have searched and search on the board but i cannot find nothing that mentions this.

Mayby this schould be sent to the suggested feature that an account in the admin group is not allowed without an email address?
