« on: October 15, 2006, 06:35:10 am »

I see this on the from page..
--------
.:: Future plans
04: What does the near future hold?

The developers are excited about releasing a new version soon which may include the following features (check out the forum):

    * integration of various hacks/user contributions into the release package;
    * advanced e-card feature (plain-text mails);
    * template-building tutorial;
    * optional dhtml navigation;
----------
I wounder will CPG 2.0 come out soon? :P What do you think and what do you think would be added? Good or Bad!

Next version will be cpg1.5.0 (not cpg2.0). It's under development and you're welcome to check out the devel branch of the subversion repository if you want, particularly the changelog that should give you an idea what features have already been added to the devel branch. There's no scheduled release date (remember, Coppermine is an open source project that doesn't have to meet the requirements commercial software needs to meet, with fixed schedules and release dates), so the answer "when will cpg1.5.x be released" usually will be answered with "when it is ready".
