Navigation Page Display problem
« on: September 24, 2006, 07:04:20 pm »

Hello,

I was try to figure out why I could not see the nav page displayed in the thumbnails display for last updated and random albums

I have the setting:
- nbr of columns = 3
- nbr of rows = 3

In addition I set have set the parameter "/random,3/lastup3" in case.

I have more than 9 photos. I can see 9 items displayed but don't have any page nav to see the other ones.

Thanks for advising.

There is no nav for random or last updated block and you can't have it
IMO it's meanless to have navigation on Random files !

Agreed, useless for random files.
I think this is useful for lates uplaods (especially foro photo). With Navigation, you allow user to look up for more than 9 (in my case) lastest uploads w/o requiring him to potentially open ALL albums for which there may be not latest upload.

How diffilcult do you think it is hard to apply the album nav logcci to the 'last upploads' thumbnail.
Many thanks, Alain -

It's depends on your coding skils ,
why don't you just add mor row to lastup block by setting lastup,x under config ? something big enough for example "/random,3/lastup,6"

Increasing this limit will work fine if you don't have many uploads. In a photo community with says 100's of users with 1 upload per day, it's not sufficient ...

Thanks for you input Sami !

Tell your surfers to click on 'Latest uploads'. This meta album has navigation

You are killing me  ;) ! That's exactly what I want (although it would be nice to have it from thumb, but I'm asking to much !)
Thanks so much.
