The error message is not the one you posted above, but

The file 'albums/userpics/10002/Beispiel.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

The convert program said:
convert: option requires an argument `-geometry'.

Switch "method for resizing images" to GD2 in Coppermine's config, then try again.

That helped and everything worked just fine (thank you for that!) but now suddenly I get the same message again. What could it be this time?

I tried many different pictures! Big and small, old and new. And I'm not the only person getting this message.

I think you have issue on your local computer (Client-Side issue)

What do you mean by client-side issue? Where can I ask for help now? Me and all the other users having this same problem

Oh , If others have same issue then it's not a client side and you should ask your host for support , coppermine works fine and your web server is real issue
as you see upload works fine for me !

...and my host says that they don't give support to Coppermine or any other programs that I've installed by myself. Great.

Yet I must try to ask. Can you specify a question that I should ask them? Or do I write a simple "help me"-message They would hate it.

OK, this is when we need more details: describe the exact steps you perform when uploading (you'd best take a number of screenshots, zip them and attach them to your posting using "additional options"). Also please post the debug_output you get when experience the error.
