bridging with mambo (again!)
« on: October 04, 2006, 07:58:42 pm »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and mambo:

As soon as i enable bridging and click finish i get a blank screen with
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/wamproje/public_html/gallery/bridge/mambo.inc.php on line 198

I had a look at the bridging file and this is what i found

    // remember me cookie exists; login with user creditials
            if ($usercookie) {
               $username = (isset($usercookie['username'])) ? addslashes($usercookie['username']) : '';
          ****** = (isset($usercookie['password'])) ? addslashes($usercookie['password']) : '';

where the stars are my actual password for the admin account. I'm guessing this should be a variable, but which one?

I'm came to this error having followed the fixes in this thread
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=34230.0 - I made the corrections suggested to the bridging file $sessioncookie variable and gave the coppermine user permissions in the mambo db

Your admin password should not be in the bridge file, or anywhere.

I know that, I can only assume it got typed in accidentally when trying to log in with another window. But i've fixed it now and the bridge works fine. Hoorah!
