SPAM and Bad Words
« on: September 10, 2006, 07:18:46 pm »

Just an idea...

Managing the SPAM en Bad Words list trough a seperate page and a table would be easier, then changing the translation file. Spammers mostly post in English, so I always have to copy the Bad words line form my language file to the other language files...

Kind regards,
Frederic

For cpg1.5.x, we're going to introduce some mechanisms to fight comment spam. The bad words filter is pretty useless, as the words spammers use keep on changing.
Although your suggestion is somehow valid, I'm not sure it is going to go into the code, as there are better methods to fight spam imo.
