Tried upgrading - fatal error

I tried installing following instructions but now the page just says fatal error! :(

1) When upgrading it is a good idea to post on the upgrading board. The install board is for fresh installs. Moving accordingly.
2) Posting a link to your page might be a good start
3) Enable debug_mode manually as suggested in Tutorial: Manually enabling debug_mode, then post the actual error message (not the debug_output!)

http://www.caringlaser.com/Coppermine/index.php  I did the debug and its working.  The only error said f"atal error:" in the upper left of the page.  Now, I want to make sure my pictures from this album go to the newer version I have installed in my other site, do I just upload the albums or will this create access problems again?

Can't see any errors. You should upgrade exactly as suggested in the docs.
