URLs with members names instead of the usual index.php?cat=10002?

I hope someone has the solution to this. If a solution has been posted for this, please PM it to me and delete this thread.

I need to make my users galleries more URL friendly. In fact, I just want their name to appear in it.

So instead of:

http://www.MySite.net/pictures/index.php?cat=10002

I want something like this:


http://www.MySite.net/pictures/User



I am sure this is possible, but just dont know how
