Bridge for phpmyforum v4.1.x (cpg 1.4.x)
« on: November 24, 2005, 11:15:30 pm »

pmf 4.1.x - cpg 1.4.x Bridge

Version: 0.31
Demo: http://galerie.tahun.de

Installation
  • Upload the file pmf.inc.php to your coppermine bridge file folder
  • Open the file and edit the lines marked with //TO EDIT for your needs
  • Go to Bridge Manager in Admin Tools
  • Enter pmf in the custom field and continue
  • Finish the Manager and go on Groups to synchronize the groups data

Known issues when $this->use_post_based_groups = 1
  • In some cases group names of the pmf were not copied properly to cpg database when $this->use_post_based_groups was set to 1 (only the first letter of the group name was copied). If you want to use the pmf groups in coppermine, backup your database first and check if it works for you. If not, you can either rename the group names by hand or you don't use the pmf groups by setting $this->use_post_based_groups to 0.
  • If you're using pmf groups in coppermine ($this->use_post_based_groups = 1) and already applied the bridge, there is an issue when you deactivate the bridge with Admin Tools -> Bridge Manager. The emergency recovery appears and when you enter your data the groups in table CPGPREFIX_usergroups are set to their default values. So for the time the bridge is deactivated, all user galleries aren't available. Well, if you activate the bridge again the user galleries "returns", too. :) Of course, the group rights have to set again manually.

Changelog

v0.31 (2006-01-20)
Fixed: Use of session Cookies if user has deactivated autmatic login in the pmf user settings.

v0.3 (2006-01-19)
Fixed: Redirection for edit profile.
Changed: Using require_once to call bridge/udb_base.inc.php for compatibility with CPG v1.4.3.
Changed: Redirection for view user profile removed to use the gallery's view profile (so visitors can see the user's last upload).

v0.2 (2005-12-05)
Fixed: Redirection for view user profile.
Fixed: Group id for default pmf guest group.

Hi Roi,

habe leider noch ein Problem:

1) es erscheint eine Fehlermeldung wenn ich den Bridge Manager im Adin Tools aufrufe und pmf eingebe (ganz am Ende, nach zweimaligem Klick auf "weiter".
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class core_udb in /www/htdocs/v111111/galerie/bridge/udb_base.inc.php on line 22

Mark

Hi Mark,

first of all ... though phpmyforum is only used by germans currently we have to write in english because it's an english board. :)

1) Maybe it's because of changes made in CPG1.4.3 (I still use 1.4.2 because I'm too short of time to test it). So at the moment I can't say what the reason is. Sorry. With 1.4.2 it works. When I have time I'll have a look into it.

2) Thats because you have changed the cookie domain in pmf (I think that you did it(?)). So the forum creates cookies with the new domain but the old ones are still alive. Delete the old cookies and you can logout.

download see first post.
Use the attachment in the very first posting on this thread - Roi has just replaced the old bridge file with the new one. If downloading the attachment fails for you, try using another browser.

Sorry Nibbler, witch one did you mean,? i changed the entrys in pmf.inc.php and puttet in the /bridge
Maybe on Mistage is on the following Line
  • // Database connection settings
          $this->db = array(
             'name' => '*******', //TO EDIT: your database name
             'host' => $dbhost ? $dbhost : 'localhost',
             'user' => '********',       //TO EDIT: your database user name
             'password' => '******',       //TO EDIT: your database user password
             'prefix' => 'pmf_'      //TO EDIT: prefix of your forums table

all entrys marked whit //TO EDIT: your database name i changed,
connect to the db must be ok, so it create 20 new tables, but after aktivate Bridging the result is, no login or something other, only klick to "Startseite" is ok

Bridging does not create any tables. The message means that the details you entered are not correct. Compare them to the details in your forum's config file.

I had a phpbb forum integrated with my coppermine gallery so that when you registered on the forum you were already part of our gallery. Basically I had to reinstall my phpbb forum due to problems, so for some reason the integration is no longer working. I dont think this is the proper thread for what I am asking, but could someone please point me in the right direction of a mod for what I used to have for my integration?

I got the bridging to work but not the way i would like too.
The first thing is that when i've bridged I cant post comments, and some of my comments disapear.
The second thing is i don't like the profile manager. When i press profile when im in Coppermine i don't want too go to the forum, i want to stay in coppermine.

any help?

You need to allow commenting on the groups page. Comments you had prior to bridging may disappear I suppose. Some bridges support internal profiles, some don't.
