How To Add Tags To My Images
« on: October 15, 2006, 09:04:00 pm »

I have literally been trying to figure out how to do this for almost a year and still have no idea.I want to add tags to the images in my gallery like the one in the picture below. If possible can anyone tell me how to do this. Most fan sites use Coppermine and this exact type of tagging.

Thanks :)

It's called watermarking, search the board.

I did search watermarking and found either outdated mods or nothing that resembled what I want.

Also, I found this thread ( http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=34427.0 ) days ago that does exactly what I want but it goes absolutely nowhere. It gets one reply and is dead after that.Nothing else is ever mentioned.

Check out http://cpg-contrib.org. There is a watermark plugin.

The watermark plugin over there I tried first a few days ago and earlier today as well.It does not work with 1.49 and is labeled 1.42.After installing I just get a white page.It also does not appear to do what I want.It stamps the image with another image rather than adding text below the image.

There is no picture or example of what his mod does and that scares me.I got the above mod to work and it didn't do what I wanted. It put a text watermark on several (thank God not all) of my images and now they are ruined.Honestly I thought this would be rather simple.Almost every fan-site that has a Coppermine Gallery uses this this type of watermarking.I actually contacted several and asked how they did it but apparently it's a closely guarded scret people don't want to give away.  :-\

It's not impossible to do what you want. You can see that I have "tagged" the images in my signature image.

You can ask in the watermark thread for help in doing it, but don't expect a reply. If you really want this, you could post in the freelance board and state your budget, etc.

So no one here knows how the above photo I posted with tags beneath the image is accomplished?
