Upload by email?
« on: August 27, 2006, 09:13:46 am »

Hi all!
First of all: Great Software!!!

Is it possible to have an "email-upload" for users?

I am thinking of the following:

A User registers on the gallery and provides an email-address. He then can send an email with some images attached to a specific email-address. The server looks from time to time into this mailbox and processes the email in this box. If a valid sender-email is found the images are extracted, the images are sorted into the apropriate user-gallery and the email is deleted.

I have seen this feature on a different site and it works great. You are also able to send images from a mobilephone via MMS to this mail-address and the images are put into the associated gallery.

What do you think?

Greetings from Berlin...

Sven

Got it and tried to "install".

Any Idea of where to put the 3 files?

anycontent1 into the root

but where to put the other2?

How to invoke the check for new "mail"?
