Without thumnail on the second category

Hi my website is www.cariartis.com

i have 3 category:
1st is Album of Indonesian actress
2nd is Album for video streaming
and the last obviously user galleries,

on the 1st and 2nd category it showing the thumbnails, What I want is to have thumbnail for the 1st category only, which is album for Idonesian actress.

To prevent this i just make a child for 2nd category to the 1st category... but still when u going to the second page on 1st category its showing the thumbnails for the 2nd category.

my question is,
is it possible to have many categories, but we can assign which category have a thumbnail view on the category.
