Spiders should not follow all links
« on: August 20, 2006, 01:55:34 pm »

It is not necessary that a web spider follow all links inside the coppermine gallery. So it would be nice to add a rel="nofollow" to this links to prevent spider activity.
This should be done to comments, ratings, login, logout, sort, search etc.pp.

Already on the todo list, and partly already applied. The bot won't see a logout link or similar stuff inly logged-in users can see. However, only the Googlebot currently respects the nofollow tag.
