Can only upload one picture at a time

If I try to upload 5, I get a bunch of error messages like the ones below.  What now?

CHMOD albums/edit to 777/755 and update your gallery.

Did you mean I should change the permission from 777 to 755?
My album is at 777.  Still get the following when attempting to upload 2:

How do you update gallery besides hitting "Refresh"?

Read the manual. This is a very old problem and has been discussed plenty of times already. Search the board.

everybody is talking about some file called 10001.  I don't have one.  Does that matter?
