Bridging Across two Domains and two severs

Hello I would like to bridge my forum http://www.bteckcorner.com/phpBB2/index.php with my coppermine site http://bteckcornermods.com/index.php the reason for the two different domains and servers is that I don’t want to use up all my resources on one server so I made the forum and gallery on separate servers is this possible or do I have to have my forum and my gallery on the same server?

Any help will be very appreciative

They need to share the same domain name for cookies to work.

Ok well I was just wondering if someone here had accomplished bridging across domains because it can be done I just do not have the experience to work it out. I have found several sites like this one http://www.asp101.com/articles/chris/transfercookies/default.asp that explain the procedure but I’m unsure if the code they provide is complete because they refer to them as samples. If nobody here has done this then I will just keep my current configuration to keep my recourses on the server free for expansion.

Yes I just realized that it is ASP lol. I started to research if it is possible with PHP I found allot of different ways to do this but every one also talks about the errors you will get, not to mention the complicated coding one will have to do to accomplish the task at hand so for now I have come to the realization even though it could probably be done stable or not I will stay with what I have for now

Why not run the Forum and Coppermine on the same domain/ box and mysql on a its own? That would sound more efficient to me. You could scale up the mysql box as your site grows.
