Problem creating albums
« on: August 10, 2006, 02:19:02 pm »

I just installed Coppermine in tha latest version. Everything went fine, I also activated bridging to phpBB2.

Big problem now is - I canīt create any albums in user mode, although permissions (ftp on all required folders, in application for all groups) seem to be correct. Tried it with and without bridging activated. Simply spoken, the buttons below the menu to create album, edit album, and view profile donīt appear at all. Whatīs wrong ? I checked documentation, I tried to find the answer here in the board, maybe Iīm just plainly stupid. A friend of mine runs the same software version on the same server and here i can do everything.

my galery : http://wh.dunklersturm.de/galery
his galery : http://gdfa.de/content/gallerie

Whatīs wrong ? Any hints greatly appreciated !

Peter

Thatīs not quite what I meant. Shouldnīt I be able (as a USER) to create an album in my personal galery, and upload stuff there ? Like it is in Photobucket or other public galeries ?

oops !
so you need to post a test (non-admin) account here to check your gallery

Update:
first check this and then post that account
- also you need to give them permission under group manager to have personal gallery

Well, that was a good hint to start with.

Created a new user, logged in and - voila - can have my personal galery and upload stuff.

Logged out, logged in as Administrator - no chance to have my own album, although I gave Administrators and other groups my account is in the right to have personal albums in group cp .

as an admin you should click on album button and then choose *My Gallery* and create your album , in this way the album goes to user galeries under admin account

OK, thatīs it. This way I created an album and uploaded an image. And other user see it under user galeries. Sorry to be such a p.i.t.a. but I havenīt found such a hint in the manual. Thank you very much for your patience and help.
