Coppermine Integration 3.3 Messed Up User Login
« on: August 11, 2006, 04:42:46 am »

Hello,

I tried to install the Coppermine Integration 3.3 plugin for Wordpress so I could intergrate my user databases.  I didn't like the plugin so I undid everything including putting back the orginial Coppermine files it had altered.  Well apparently I messed up somewhere.

The problem I'm having now is this.  New Users can register, they can login, they get the welcome message, but then instead of the tabs at the top of the program giving them the Upload Pics tab, they get the login tab again.  Under the comment section they are not recognized as well.  So it is like Coppermine goes through the whole login process then resets.  I have checked the Users folder in the admin panel and the users are showing up as registered with the proper permissions but it's not working.  Users who signed up before I messed with this plugin still have full functionality.

Thanks

1) Posting a link and non-admin test user account might help.
2) Not related to bridging, therefor moving accordingly.
3) Try clearing your cookies and browser cache

Hello,

Okay, here is the link http://ntsshow.com/coppermine_dir/index.php [Edit GauGau] Warning: link not worksafe [/edit]
I have created a user test account (test:test) and it has Registered status with an album to upload files to.  Those who were registered prior to this issue can still upload fine its the new users that are having the problem whether I create their account or they register on their own.

I cleaned the cookies and cache but that hasn't helped.  Two of my friends who tried to register called me about this issue yesterday so it's happening on multiple computers.

Your help is greatly appreicated,

Not worksafe means: you might get into trouble if you follow that link from your PC at work, as most employers don't want their employees to go porn-surfing. This usually is being extended to mild nudity, which is present on you page. If this concept is alien to you, then you're probably not from the US. I found it strange in the first place as well, but I'm working for a US-driven company, so I do understand now perfectly well.
Bottom line: it's OK to post a link to your coppermine-driven gallery (you're even encuraged to do so), however if your site contains nudity or other questionable material (guns, liquor, whatever), you have to post a warning with it.
This is not related to your question though, that's why I just edited your posting in the first place without further explanations.

Oh I see.  "Worksafe"...makes sense now.  Thanks for editing it for me.

So does anyone have an idea as to how to fix my User login issue?
Should I delete everything and reinstall coppermine?  Or is it just a few files that need to be corrected?

Thanks

I can't login atall with the test account. Please post a link to the mod you are using.

You should also have posted a warning about your colour scheme :)

Okay, I went ahead and reinstalled everything.  Working fine now.  Had to do a little work with mysql files but for the most part it wasn't hard.  Thanks
