You as admin should FTP-upload plus batch-add anyway.

I see on this forum other users have the same problem.

I want my band-memebers to upload mp3s to a specific album.
I have set the file types for mp3, changed the max upload limit,...
And set the debugging mode on;

Still uploading simple mp3s don't work.

What can be wrong???

The same advice I posted for the thread starter applies for you as well: read the upload troubleshooting section of the docs (that I refered to above) and do exactly as suggested there. The section clearly says not to post debug_output unless requested, you're suppossed to leave notices_display off unless you're a developer. It's mandatory to have read the documentation before asking questions on the forum, especially if you're replying to a thread where a supporter has already posted instructions what you have to do.
It's advisable that you read the sticky thread on this sub-board as well - it should give you an idea what server-sided restrictions apply for uploading, particularly http uploading (and that's what your members want to do). Don't forget that mp3 files are (although they are compressed) are rather big in filesize (compared to a regular pic), that's why a browser upload (that's what we call a http upload) runs into a time-out. This is not being caused by Coppermine, but dependant on your client/browser, your connection speed and your server setup.

Thanks GauGau,

I'm sorry for making those mistakes.
Of course it's impossible to read the whole documentation en search out all the topics.

At least now I know it is a browser related problem, concerning uploading big files.
I dig further in this forum and try out the given solutions.

Thanks for your patience !

That's not impossible, but mandatory. If you're not ready to do this, then pay someone to read the docs for you over the phone. We're fed up of people who are reluctant to spend their time reading, yet think that it's OK to waste our time by asking questions and expecting answers.

At least now I know it is a browser related problem, concerning uploading big files.
Not necessarily a browser issue, might be a server issue just as well.

GauGau, I understand the problem.
There will always be 'stupid' people with little time, but lot's to do.
But, don't loose the courage and keep up the good work keeping Coppermine free!

I've found a simple answer on the galery documentatio as well.
I couldn't find a short description in Coppermine's manual:

http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:FAQ#Why_can.27t_I_upload_big_files_.28over_a_megabyte_or_two.29.3F

Is this the correct issue?

Looks familiar. That's what stickies are for: Trouble-shooting the upload process.
