Problem with big pictures.
« on: July 14, 2006, 02:46:01 pm »

I have a strange problem with my coppermine 1.3.3.
When i upload big pictures (bigger than 1,5MB and high resolution) coppermine doesn't resize pictures, I even dont get pictures on preview (upload via FTP).
If I upload pictures with IE i get a blank white screen when upload is finnished.
With pictures ~1MB and 1600 x 1200 px and smaller works fine.
I have same problem on coppermine 1.4.5.

Are there any more settings to change? Because this should be fine:
Max size for uploaded files (KB): 8096
Max width or height for uploaded pictures/videos (pixels): 8072

You're running into server-sided limitations (time-outs) that will result in blank screens. Refer to the sticky threads on the upload sub-board for details and suggested fixes. Better still, resize the pics before uploading them.
It's mandatory to upgrade - both cpg1.3.3 as well as cpg1.4.5 are outdated, you should upgrade to the most recent stable version (currently cpg1.4.8), but the cpg1.3.3 version needs to be upgraded at least to cpg1.3.5.

Thanx for your answer - problem solved.
I realy didn't reliazed that this script need so much memory...  So i did set memory_limit in PHP to 30MB (before 12MB)... if is it less does not work.

Thank you again.
