Right Click Question
« on: July 06, 2006, 04:58:10 am »

I have a new user that wants to disable the right click on his coppermine.

Is this posable? or is there a way to stop people from taking pics from his coppermine?

He sells his photos and wants them to be for that use only and not free to the entire world.

We are new  to coppermine and ask to please keep it simple.

Thanks.

Do a search in the forum on "right click" and you'll find many posts on the subject. However, the quick answer is, it doesn't work and will turn power users off from your site. Even with right click disabled, it's easy to get the photos. The best way to prevent photo stealing is not to post them on the web and the second best solution is to use a watermark. You can search on this subject too to find many posts.

Thanks for the suggetions.

This site dose not care about power users, It is a specific fan/customer base.

I just want to stop the common joe from taking the pics. They will be water marked.

Thanks for your time.
