changing the how the Catagories are displayed
« on: July 06, 2006, 12:12:11 am »

I'm not good with php so i'm hoping that someone who is can tell me how i can prevent CPG from displaying subcatagories underneath each catagory.  I took at peek at index.php but its all gibberish to me.  Kinda wanted the look of a forum where each catagory can lead to multiple catagories and then to individual albums.  Sounds simple, but wat do i know ;) I checked out all the other Menu Mods, but all of them seem to go beyond wat i need.  I just need the stinkin subcatagories from showing up so my home page doesn't become so long that people have to scolll alllllll the way down to find a particular catagory.

Sorry. You can only chose not to display first level albums on the main page but not subcategories through the config settings. Have you checked out this post on "Different Way of Displaying Categories - MOD": http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=32108.0?

[edit] My appologies. To set the number of categories to display go to Config=>Album list view=>Number of levels of categories to display and set to "1". Manual link: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_album_list.

Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.
