Life with a fatal error
« on: June 28, 2006, 10:54:04 pm »

Hi to all.

I've been trying to upgrade from version 1.3.4 to 1.4.2, here's what I've tried so far...

The gallery is installed via Fantastico in my control panel, so I clicked on 'upgrade'.... fatal error.

I downloaded the 'changed files' package, followed the instructions, ran the upgrade.... fatal error.

I backed up the albums folder & the database, uninstalled coppermine, installed the new version, replaced the albums folder, retored the database and the old versions of the files include/config.inc.php and anycontent.php. This time I got a database access error & the guy that runs the hosting company I use tried to fix it, result... fatal error.

So, the guy has been really helpful and restored the old version from backup 3 times now and I wondered if anyone can help?

Thanks in anticipation, Gary.

Download Coppermine from our downloads page (1.4.8) and follow the upgrade steps described in the documentation. We don't provide a 'changed files' package or directly support autoinstallers.
