I got this message when I tried to access my index page:

"Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)"

check if you entered the correct mysql username/ password whilst the setup (in include/config.inc.php)
If you're unsure what your mysql username/  pwd is, then you should contact your host

using root with no password is not recommended at all

I was able to access just a couple of hours ago.

I checked the username and password to database - it's correct.

I still can't access the website.

What is the problem?

coppermine just tells you it can't access the database. Either the mysql server is down and needs to be restarted or the username/ password does not work (anymore).

Only your hosting support will be able to help you here. It's a server/ or password issue and not a coppermine problem.
