Displaying Entire Picture
« on: June 23, 2006, 11:31:26 pm »

Is there a way to display the entire picture instead of a downsized version in the gallery? I have very large pictures that are reduced in size so that text and details look smaller and scrunched together.

Is there a way to make it so that the person is able to click on the picture from the album page and see the full sized picture?

Basically, you go to the main home page and you see the category, you click on that and it brings up the albums, you click on the albums and it brings up the picture thumbnails, but when I click on the thumbnails and it displays the picture, its only like half the size of the picture, same with all of them because the real picture is about twice that size and I think it displays it smaller so that the screen does not stretch. How can I disable the resize?

@Draygonia: Are you using IE for your browser?  If so, IE has an automatic resize enabled by default, so all images fit in the screen.  This might be the issue you're seeing.  If you hover the mouse over the bottom right corner of the image, a little button with an magnifying glass should show up.  Click on that and you see the full-size image.  This is done at the client, so Coppermine is not involved at all.  Coppermine is serving the full-size image to your browser correctly.  There's a setting in IE for not doing this resize.  I forget what it's called.

Oh man... file edits... should I use notebook to open it? because sometimes I get little boxes.

Also, when you add the stuff after, do you click right after the sentence you find and just copy and paste there or hit enter and paste it?

before you edit anything do as suggested and turn off displaying intermediate images. Also reread Paver's post. If that doesn't fit your requirements then you still can modify core files

in config you can disable the creation of intermediate pictures
http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_picture_thumbnail_intermediate_toggle
if this not fit for you then go on and change the core file and yes you can use notebook, mark the main code the ctrl+c (copy) and then go to your opened file under notebook and ctrl+v (paste)
