Change Directory

For some reason when I try to do a batch upload it goes to d:\wwwroot/mysite.net/wwwroot/coppermine....

It says:
There are no folders inside the "albums" folder yet. Make sure to create at least one custom folder within "albums" folder and ftp-upload your files there. You mustn't upload to the "userpics" nor "edit" folders, they are reserved for http uploads and internal purposes.

I have made an upload directory within the albums folder and ftp'd my photos into the folder.  It has 777 for the directory permission.  Why is the folder not being found?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
