Is there any way to upload .JPG files (i.e. upper case .jpg). Some of the photos I have are in upper case, and I would prefer not to have to convert them all to lower case...

Either set "Allowed image types" to "ALL" or specify jpg files both upper and lower case, e.g. "jpg/JPG/jpeg/JPEG" or similar.
