Check for orphaned photos plug-in
« on: June 14, 2006, 07:49:38 pm »

I'd be good if there is a plugin or any method helping admin to check for orphaned photos. When user did not complete the submission process or submit broken images they will leave orphaned photos in the upload directory.  :-\

If someone did not complete the submission process then the picture is just located in the edit folder.  Periodically this folder has a garbage collection script that is run to get rid of the pictures that were uploaded but not placed in an album and therefore moved out of the edit folder.

However, I believe that the suggestion for a plugin to look for orphaned files of pictures that were manually added or failed to delete would be useful.  The only risk of this is having permissions that caused the file to be orphaned to begin with and checking for both thumbnails and intermediate pictures that are orphaned without the full quality picture.
