Disable Video player

Hey!
    My question is, how would i disable the video player? I want to show an thumbnail view of the video instead of the player autostarting the video that is about to be downloaded, with the video download hack. I tried searching but no results came up.

Sorry about that, i wasn't sure which one so i just picked this one.

Yes, that was the set of instructions i followed, however, what i want is to have the media player replaced with the thumbnail view of the video rather than the video player.
