After bridging - can't upload pictures

I have just bridge CPG and SMF ... works fine (I think ... I'm new), except, now I can't upload any pictures !!! Not as a user nor an admin!
What am I doing wrong? And what can I do to get out of this mess???

Have you actually enabled uploading on the groups page ?

I had ...  I KNOW I had ... but it turns out I haddn't ...  ??? ??? ???

-I pretty sure it must have changed that itself!

That's why the manual says to review permissions after bridging.
