phpBB integration LONG AFTER installation
« on: January 17, 2004, 01:49:19 pm »

Hi,
I was wondering if I could do this...I have had phpBB installed for a while now, and installed coppermine recently and love it...when I installed it however I didn't figure I would want them integrated, but now I am thinking I do.  Is there anyway I keep my current installation of coppermine and integrate it into phpBB?

Thanks!

Yes, just use the bridge file, instructions are in the docs.

The installation doc makes it sound like you have to do the integration before acually uploading it all and customizing it...

Upload all files onto your webserver and run the install script. Note that the admin username and password you enter during the installation will be ignored by the script.
 - From the install doc.  This right after you edit the bridge file.  Can I still just reupload the install dir and run the install again?

You won't need to register to your CPG if you use the bridge, as it reads the phpbb user table.

Actually I was trying to ask if I can integrate Coppermine with phpBB AFTER both are installed up on the webserver and configured and all...I just decided I won't integrate them though, the features of them combined don't help me that much.  Thanks for all your help anyway!
