I installed cpq 1.4.5 today and all was working fine. Decided to checkout a different theme and selected "Water Drop" from pull down menu under admin. Theme switched and everything looked fine.

I return a few hours later and can not login. I select login, type user name and password select "login" and get a screen that say "Welcome and my user name ..." and I click continue and the page returns to my gallery, not logged in and with no admin button/selection.

I would love to set-up a test account but can not access admin.

Thank you in advance,

Tom Strong

If you can't access admin to set up the test account, you can do it the old-fashioned way via the Register link.

Very interesting! I created a test user account. Logged in with the test account name. Everything seems to work just fine under the test user account. I logged out, then logged in as administrator and got in with all admin access.

This seems to have fixed it. If you would still like the test user name and password, I am happy to supply it.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am getting to know the product.

Cheers,

Tom Strong

You're welcome. That's cool that it started working. Might have been something to do with cookies. You don't have to post the login for now, but if you have trouble again, you can supply it then.

This morning I am unable to login again. Now, neither user name will complete the login. The software acts like the user name and passwords are valid, but it still doesn't complete the login.

Not sure what to do next,

Tom Strong

p.s. I tried a new user registration but have not gotten the authorization from the admin email notification.

I have started a new topic as this does not seem to be solved

p.s. I tried a new user registration, which seemed to work last night, but have not gotten the authorization from the admin email notification. It's been at least 3 hours since registering a new user. I also know that another user has registered and I have not received notification from admin on that registration either.

Post a test user account. If you have email issues then post that in a different thread.

here is the test user account

name: ttest
password: sr3d1tor

p.s. the lack of email notification just started today. I installed yesterday and I believe these failures are related to or indicative of the whole problem.

I was able to log in ok. Are you using security software? Have you tried a different browser? Did you check the spam folder for emails?

Must be a problem with IE 6. I installed both Firefox and IE 7 and both are able to login at will.

Thanks for checking the site and suggesting an alternate browser. I think I am going to dump IE 6.

I have IE also, and have cookie problems on occasion. Especially when testing and switching users. For me clearing cookies helps EVERY time. You might also run into this when you switch users around if you are using the XP Publishing Wizard to upload files. Again, clearing cookies fixes it there too. Bottom line, try clearing your cookies. Hope this helps you and anyone else reading this.
