Replacing a picture
« on: May 03, 2006, 04:47:33 am »

I am wondering if there is a way to replace a pic in the gallery without deleting it or the comments?

I have a scrapbooking website and a gal got her picture published so she has to remove the picture and she wanted to put a new pic in the place saying that her other one was published but she doesn't want to lose all the comments she got from the picture.  Is there a way to do this?

Thanks so much!!

There's no method in the coppermine user interface, and I don't think that this is ethically correct, since she got the comments on another pic. Smells a bit like cheating to me. Anyway, if you need to do this, replace the file (using your FTP app) and then re-create the thumbnail and intermediate sized file using coppermine's admin tools.

There is a plugin for 1.4 that can do this if you update.
