Can't find my own Photo Gallery service provider.
« on: April 21, 2006, 06:48:20 am »

Hi there,

I'm new with Coppermine, but I found that this is interesting.

I did every steps in XP Web Publishing Wizard to Upload pictures,
and everything goes well ! I can upload my images from my IBM
Thinkpad laptop to my Webserver in the intranet.

But when I try to do the same process with my Dell desktop machine,
I found something wrong. I cannot find my service provider window highlight
to access my Photo Gallery name, except the MSN Groups (in the internet).
It seems that Coppermine CANNOT reach my Webserver in the intranet,
but CAN communicate with MSN Group through the internet.

What was happening here ? Anybody can help ?

Did you apply the registry patch on your second PC? Hard to recommend anything, as things on an intranet are not visible for us, so we're not able to look into this. Basically, the XP-Publisher is a OS thing, not something we created.

Ofcourse I did.

I just don't understand, how did my Photo Gallery
is visible from my laptop, but it's not from my desktop ?

I applied the registry patch in my dekstop,
but it cannot see anything from the intranet
except the MSN Group. Can I force the desktop
to search anything else from the intranet ?

Anybody got the idea ? Thanks.
