Let people download Coppermine from my own website
« on: April 03, 2006, 06:05:51 pm »

Hello everybody,

I have a question for the developers-team, concerning copyrights. At this moment I'm developing a website concerning photography and webdesign. It will be a portal website with lots of information for photographers who want to publish their pictures online. There will be a section with information about copyright-protection, a section with several tools, and a section with scripts.

Now I would like to ask if I'm allowed to let my visitors download the coppermine system in Dutch (because my website will be in Dutch) from my own server... Or is that illegal ?  ???

Many thanks for your respons !

Kind regards from Belgium,

Philippe

It's legal, but it would be easier just to post a link to our site.

...and there's little point in offering a dutch-only version imo. We prefer downloads from our site, as this gives us more control over updates and possible future security issues.
