How can I make more admins?
« on: January 10, 2004, 10:09:46 pm »

I need a group of people who can approve photos, change album/image descriptions, delete/ban users (lower ranked then them of course, not fellow admins) like this.

Is there a way to add more admins with specific rights??

You can add admins, but they will have the same permissions on the gallery as you (and will be able to delete you).

In admin mode, click on 'users', then for the users you want to make admin, click on edit, and put them in the adminisrators group.

If you want to give them less priviledges than you, I suggest bridging with a BB, and using its permissions settings. They usually do have more levels.

Even if you bridge them to a BB, it doesn't let you change the admin rights for coppermine itself right?

And to be honest... i've been searching all around for some kind of doc which tells me HOW to bridge it...

As I don't have a bbs myself, I'm not sure, but I remember seeing it in feature requests before.

I believe the instructions for bridging are in the readme file that is in the docs section of the download.

the instructions how to enable the bridge file come with the coppermine package you downloaded (see the "docs" folder), but for easy reference, you can view it online as well: http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/demo/docs/index.htm#integrating
