Move an existing gallery to a new webspace
« on: March 15, 2006, 10:45:53 pm »

Hi everybody,

is it possible to move an existing gallery to a new webspace as it is? I have a gallery that works just fine, but I want to move my homepage to another webspace. I guess I can not just copy/paste the whole cpg-folder to the new space, but ist there some easy way to get it to the new space?
Or will I have to start from the beginning, installing coppermine, create albums, upload pictures...
I searched the forum already and think I found some solution, but I have no idea what a  database dump is or how to create it.

Greetz,
Roland

Thanks for the link, but I guess this program is to complex for me. I tried to exactly follow the guidelines, but I didn't get it working. Is there any other way? Something like "database backup for dummies"?

Cheers,
Roland
