Topic: Cant Logg into album (Read 12529 times)

I bridged my coppermine 1.42 with phpbb 2 and all was working fine but my members could not post comments on my album so I disabled the brige and now I cant not logg into my album. When I enter my user name and pass it says welcome but then redirects me back to my albums home page and im not loged in. Im not sure what to do now. MY album is located @ http://showboyz.net/cpg142/index

when disabling the bridge you will have to log in using your admin account from the standalone setup (probably the one you set up during coppermine's initial install) instead of the admin account from your bbs. If you don't remember it anymore, use the "forgot password" function from the login screen. If the login just doesn't stick, try clearing your cookies.

GauGau I deleted my cookies and I used the admin account from when I set up my commermine, and it does the same thing, it will say welcome and then redirect me back to a unloged in screen. Now I set up a new user name and account and it works fine, lets me log in but when I use the admin name it does not stick

1) Update to cpg1.4.4
2) Temporarily disable all pseudo-security apps like "Norton Internet Security"

ok I followed all steps to up update to cpg1.4.4 and got the (Upgrade completed) when It was done

then I disable all security apps on my comp and tried to log in and the same thing happend. This also so happens if I use a different computer to log in it just logs me out right after it says welcome

I can make new accounts after the bridge that work but its the admin account that does not work and there were some other other accounts that were made befor the bridge that dont stick. I know its the right account and pass becouse it says welcome then pop im not loged in....

if the login doesn't stick there may be issues with cookies or other things. However, it's impossible to tell as you have disabled bridging. If you need bridging support, enable it first.

About the cookies I dont think thats it as I have tried from 3 different comps that have never been to my site and a cell phone. And I cant enable bridging becouse it will say welcome then after the redirect Im not loged in at all. So i see no control panel

well, if your bridge manager setup is wrong, then all clients you will try with won't work. Do as suggested if you want help.

I cant log into my admin account.. Well It does log it becouse after I type the user name and pass it says welocme but then redirects me back to the home page and Im not loged in. I have no options to change anything. May I PM you my standalone setup admin user name and pass so you can see what I mean?

Use post-based groups?: 0 not sure about this last one but I do believe it was 0

a fresh install is only theoretically an option: when updating as suggested, the code base and database structure won't differ to a fresh install - the only advantage of an upgraded install to a fresh install is that your pics, comments, views, ratings etc. stay.
Do not perform a fresh install, but make sure that you're actually using all coppermine files from the cpg1.4.4 package.
If a login doesn't stick, this is usually something very simple: cookie name, path, host etc. in both apps must be set up properly.
Impossible to say more, as you disabled bridging on your page. If you want help, enable it.

Is there a way to enable it with out being loged in as a admin? My admin name will not stay loged in for me to enable, it is there some other way to enable this?

yes: edit your database directly using a tool like phpMyAdmin or similar. The switch that toggles bridging on/off is in coppermine's config table, it's named "bridge_enable". Set it to "1" to enable bridging, set it to "0" to disable it. Verify your bridging settings by taking a look at coppermine's bridge table (again using phpMyAdmin).
