Hello Everybody, 

I know this has been discussed til the last breath already but for the life of me, I can't get this working.  Firstly, I am running Coppermine on my local machine to do some testing before putting it into production.  I have the following platform versions installed:

PHP 4.3.10
MySQL 4.0.23
Apache 2.0.52
Windows XP Pro SP2

I have set the following option (Show private album Icon to unlogged user) to be 'Yes'.  I have created an album as a normal user and set it to ave a password.  When I log out and view the site as an unlogged user, the 'User galleries' shows that it contains 1 album but when I click the 'User galleries' link, it shows NOTHING.  the album isn't there.

Now I know that some of you might respond by saying, "this is normal behaviour and you need to post the link somewhere for the users to view the album" BUT what is the (Show private album Icon to unlogged user) for then?  If it doesn't work, then what's the point of it being there?

Can someone please tell me where I am going wrong??

Ok, Hang Ten everybody!!  This feature IS working, but only if the album is not in a category.  Now, users that create their own albums are in the 'User galleries' category by default, but when the admin creates an album, he can set whether the album is in a category or not!

So, I ask you, is this REALLY the way it is supposed to work?  Should the users not also be allowed to create their own Private albums that only the Admin can have access to via the backend [b[but also have a private icon displaying in the 'User galleries' page??   From what I can see, users CAN have their own private album, BUT they aren't allowed the feature for it to display the private icon in the 'User galleries' display.

Maybe there was some logic behind this but I am failing to understand it.  Can someone please explain this to me?

So it is not possible for me to allow access to the registered users to move their albums out of the 'User Gallery' category??

I would like to know the answer to this as well as I experience the same thing...

Private albums that reside under user galleries wont show up even if "Show private album Icon to unlogged user" is set to yes

There is a problem with private albums.
I will tell you and other how to reproduce it and how to "fix" it.
I want to say, that I am not shure if it must be fixed in CPG code or not.

01. Go to Config
02. Find Files and thumbnails advanced settings
03. Set Show private album Icon to unlogged user to Yes
04. Create user TEST.
05. Log out and Log in under TEST
06. Create new ALBUM-1
07. Upload some picture in it. !!! IT IS A VERY INPORTANT STEP !!!
08. Set Password for it
09. Log out
10. Go to Home > User galleries
11. You will not see TEST user among other users' albums/sections.

Now.
12. Log in under TEST again.
13. Create new ALBUM-2
14. Upload some picture in it. !!! IT IS A VERY INPORTANT STEP !!!
15. Log out
16. Go to Home > User galleries
17. Now you will see TEST user's album/section.
18. When you get in his section you will two albums:
-- ALBUM-1 - will be private and askes for password to get in
-- ALBUM-2 - will be normal

That it.

So. What we have.

If any USER or CATEGORY has ONLY private albums - you will never see him/it.

If any USER or CATEGORY has private albums and ANY normal ALBUM(s) but with out any image - you will never see him/it.

If any USER or CATEGORY has private albums and ANY normal ALBUM(s) with any image - you will see him/it and his private albums' icons.
