PHP

Thus Far, I have enjoyed toying around with CPG. However, it can be a bit frustrating for the novice php user. Searching the forums for an answer to a specific question is like reading radio instructions. I have spent hour scouring the web for a good resource to educate myself on atleast the basics of php. I am sure others who read this post would do the same. I short, I would like to slowly move away from asking devs for simple answers;  I would prefer to solve simple  problems on my own.Perhaps some of you could point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Most issues coppermine users have turn out not to be PHP-related, but plain HTML/CSS/webserver setup. Teaching yourself PHP is a nice idea though.
